We are incredibly proud to announce that LifeSafety.ai has been honored with the prestigious AI Impact Award at this year's MK STEM Awards. The ceremony, held in Milton Keynes, celebrates the most innovative and impactful contributions to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in the region.

The award recognizes our platform's ability to seamlessly integrate with existing CCTV infrastructure to provide real-time, automated safety monitoring, significantly reducing workplace accidents in high-risk environments.

How LifeSafety.ai Is Making Workplaces Safer

The judges were particularly impressed by the platform's practical application of complex AI models. LifeSafety.ai doesn't just record data; it actively protects workers by detecting safety violations the moment they happen.

  • Instant PPE Detection: Automatically identifies missing hard hats, high-visibility vests, and safety goggles in real-time.
  • Zone Incursion Alerts: Detects unauthorized personnel entering hazardous or restricted zones (geofencing).
  • Low-Latency Edge Computing: Processes video feeds locally to ensure alerts are sent in milliseconds, not seconds.
  • Automated Compliance Reporting: Generates daily safety reports, replacing manual clipboards with accurate digital logs.

Recognized for Real-World Impact

This award serves as validation for our mission to leverage technology for social good. By automating safety compliance, companies can shift their focus from policing rules to building a proactive safety culture.

"We didn't build LifeSafety.ai just to win awards; we built it to save lives. However, receiving this recognition from the MK STEM community is a tremendous honor. It confirms that the industry is ready to embrace AI not just for efficiency, but for the fundamental protection of human life."

Looking to the Future

The win comes at a pivotal time for PODTECH as we prepare to roll out LifeSafety.ai version 2.0 later this year. The updated platform will include advanced behavioral analysis to predict potential accidents before they occur, as well as wider support for thermal imaging cameras for fire detection.

We are currently piloting these new features with major partners in the construction and manufacturing sectors across the UK.

"This is just the beginning. Our vision is a world where workplace accidents are a thing of the past, and every worker returns home safe, every single day."
