Windows Setup

  1. Download the Windows Raspberry Pi Compute Module Boot Loader: https://github.com/raspberrypi/usbboot/raw/master/win32/rpiboot_setup.exe
  2. Install the RPI Boot Setup file
  3. With the board powered off, ensure the USB Boot jumper link is enabled. 
  4. Attach the Desktops USB to the ‘Micro USB Slave’ port
  5. Attach the micro USB power supply to ‘Power In’ to power up the board
 
The board will now power up and boot!

Initialise the Compute Board

6. Right click RPi Boot and ‘Run as an Administrator’

7. If you do not see this screen and the board initialise, remove and re-attach the power supply, rebooting the board.

8. If succesfull – you will see this popup – Click CANCEL

Delete the Volumes

Be extra careful doing this! You can corrupt and remove data on your desktop..

9. Open Windows Disk Management

10. Find the removable disk that is the Compute Module

If you are not sure, remove and re-attach the USB to be sure you are working with the correct disk

 

 

11. Right click on each of the partitions and click ‘Delete Volume’

If you are not sure, remove and re-attach the USB to be sure you are working with the correct disk

12. Continue to delete all the ‘Volumes’ until all are ‘Unallocated’

13. Allocate a Volume – but do not format

14. Now Complete – you have a RAW un-formatted but allocated volume – READY FOR A NEW IMAGE!
