PODCube Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy covers the PODCube mobile app for iOS and Android, published by PODTECH LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. PODTECH LTD is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.

The short version

PODCube has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect any personal data about you, and nothing you do in the game ever leaves your device.

The app makes no network requests at all. Once it is installed it never contacts us, and it never contacts anyone else. It plays identically with the device in aeroplane mode.

What the game stores

Two things, and both stay on your device:

  • Your high scores — the names and scores in the local top-ten table.
  • Your sound preference — whether you have muted the game.

These are written to local storage inside the app, on your own device. They are never transmitted anywhere, we cannot see them, and we have no copy of them. Deleting the app deletes them. There is no cloud save, no leaderboard and no way to sync scores between devices.

What we do not collect

  • No name, email address, or account of any kind
  • No location data
  • No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access
  • No advertising identifier, and no advertising
  • No analytics, usage tracking, or crash reporting
  • No device identifiers
  • No payment information — the app is free, with no in-app purchases

We hold no personal data about users of PODCube. There is no database of players anywhere.

What leaves your device

Nothing.

PODCube makes no network requests. It has no server of its own to talk to, and it contacts no third party either. Everything it needs — the game, the artwork, and the typeface it is set in — is contained in the app you downloaded, so there is nothing for it to fetch and no address for it to disclose.

Two consequences worth stating plainly, because they are the usual exceptions:

  • No remote updates. The app does not check for updates in the background. New versions arrive only through the App Store or Google Play, when you install them.
  • No web fonts. The typeface is bundled with the app rather than requested from a font service, so no third party learns that you opened the game.

You can verify this. Put the device in aeroplane mode and PODCube plays exactly as it does online, down to the typeface.

Third parties

PODCube contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs and no third-party code that collects data about you. No third party receives anything from the app, because the app sends nothing to anyone.

The app stores themselves — Apple App Store and Google Play — collect their own download and crash statistics under their own privacy policies. That happens at the store level, outside the app and before it ever runs. We do not control it, and we only ever see it as aggregate numbers, never as information about an individual.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We mention these for completeness: since we hold no personal data about you, we would have nothing to return, correct or delete in response to such a request. You can erase everything the app holds at any time by deleting the app.

Children

PODCube is suitable for all ages and is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. It contains no advertising, no purchases and no communication features. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it and the updated version will be published at this same address. We will not make a change that reduces your privacy and apply it retroactively.
