PODTECH is seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer – Automation to join our growing team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in automation quality assurance, preferably with a strong background in web applications, an understanding of front-end technologies, and experience working closely with the development team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman and validate integration with backend services.
• Define, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression testing strategies.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvements in testing processes, automation frameworks, and QA best practices.
• Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution while working closely with developers to facilitate troubleshooting and debugging.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, provide estimates for testing tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Perform regression testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 3–5 years or 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Testing.
• Strong experience in automation testing with Selenium and Playwright.
• Solid understanding of API testing using Postman (or similar tools).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, or Python preferred).
• Good knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SQL including writing and optimizing queries for testing purposes.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
