Accenture claims that combining its recently announced Accenture Cloud First – a new multi-service group of 70,000 cloud professionals and a $3 billion investment offering together with this acquisition, will help in the realization of its Cloud First ambitions which is intended to rapidly expand its cloud service capabilities and offerings.

As announced, Cygni has offices across Sweden including Gothenburg, Linkoping, Malmoe, Lulea and Ostersund, as well as an office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Since it was founded in 2006, Cygni is claimed to have help companies transform their business through advanced technical software development services and innovative technical solutions.

According to Accenture, completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions; however, the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
