Highlights of 2005/2006 US EPA Test Method Activities

Highlights of EPA air pollution test method activities for 2005 (pdf, 11pp., 56kB) are available from the US EPA’s Emission Measurement Center. Activities include:

  • Specifications and test procedures for particulate matter and total vapor-phase mercury continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), as well as performance specification for predictive emissions monitoring systems (PEMS); and
  • Source test methods for determination of vapor-phase mercury emissions using dry sorbent trap sampling and for determination of PM10 and PM2.5 emissions (PM10 refers to particles smaller than 10 microns in diameter; PM2.5 to those smaller than 2.5 microns).
